DAY 1 – ARRIVE HOBART (D)
Our carbon neutral flights arrive into Hobart where we board our opulent ‘Diamond Class’ coach, ensuring responsible travel with 100% offset flight and coach emissions. We make our way to our hotel and check in, giving you time to explore the waterfront. DAY 2 – SALAMANCA MARKETS, HOBART TOURING (B,L,D)
Saturday morning begins with a visit to the iconic Salamanca Markets, where you can explore a vibrant array of local crafts, produce, and unique treasures. Afterward, we board the coach and head to Derwent Estate Wines for a delightful winery lunch set against stunning views. We then make our way to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary for the exclusive Feeding Frenzy tour. This unique experience offers a guided group feeding session, allowing everyone ample opportunity to interact with the animals. The tour showcases the sanctuary’s top animal encounters, along with some special extras. After an unforgettable day, we return to our hotel, enriched by the memories of Tasmanian wildlife and wine.
DAY 3 – HOBART – PORT ARTHUR – ORFORD (B,MT,L,D)
This morning, we take a scenic drive to the picturesque Port Arthur Lavender Farm, where we enjoy a lavender-inspired morning tea and explore the fragrant fields. Learn about lavender’s uses in culinary treats and products while soaking in the serene atmosphere. Next, we visit the historic Port Arthur Penal Settlement, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy a guided tour of the ruins and a scenic harbour cruise with views of the rugged coastline and the haunting Isle of the Dead. In the afternoon, we explore the stunning Tasman Peninsula, stopping at dramatic coastal landmarks like Eaglehawk Neck, Tasman Arch, and Devils Kitchen. These striking formations provide the perfect finale to a day rich in history and natural beauty. Today we travel into Freycinet National Park, arriving at the coastal town of Coles Bay. From here we cruise the stunning Freycinet coastline from Coles Bay to Wineglass Bay in the adults-only Sky Lounge Class. Enjoy exclusive seating, a private viewing deck, and premium food and drinks service. Take in the beauty of the pink granite peaks of The Hazards and pristine white-sand beaches like Cooks and Bryans, accessible only by water or a challenging bushwalk. Explore Schouten Island’s inner passage, home to little penguins and shearwaters, before venturing into the Tasman Sea. Discover hidden sea caves, blowholes, and waterfalls along sheer granite cliffs. Experience Wineglass Bay’s breathtaking beauty from the water, with its crescent of white sand and turquoise waters. Start the day with a visit to the stunning Binalong Bay, famous for its white sandy beaches and the vibrant orange rocks of the Bay of Fires. After some free time, head to Pyengana Dairy for homemade ice cream, cheese tasting, and insights into dairy farming. Next, enjoy lunch at the quirky Pub in the Paddock, a heritage-listed Tasmanian pub set in a paddock. Meet Priscilla, the beer-loving pig, and share a brew while taking in views of the lush valley. DAY 6 – LAUNCESTON – CRADLE MOUNTAIN – LAUNCESTON (B,L,D)
Today we head into Cradle Mountain National Park, part of Tasmania’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed Wilderness. Our first stop is Sheffield, where over 150 murals line the walls throughout the town. On arrival at Cradle Mountain, our tour includes a comprehensive two-hour guided walk showcasing the unique natural features of the park, including its flora, fauna, and striking geographical contrasts. Highlights include Dove Lake with the majestic Cradle Mountain backdrop, Waldheim Chalet nestled among the Myrtle Forests, and Weindorfers Forest Walk in the cool temperate King Billy Pine Forest. There is also the opportunity to see local wildlife such as wombats, wallabies, and echidnas in their natural environment. We’ll then take in the breathtaking views of Dove Lake before enjoying lunch at the Cradle Mountain Hotel.
DAY 7 – LAUNCESTON – HOBART (B,L,D)
This morning, we visit Launceston’s Cataract Gorge and ride the world’s longest single-span chairlift, enjoying spectacular views. We then travel through the Midlands, stopping at Ross for a famous bakery lunch and a visit to the Wool Centre. Next, we head to Richmond for a photo stop at its iconic bridge before enjoying a wine tasting at Puddleduck Winery. DAY 8 – DEPART HOBART (B)
