Day 1. Arrive Broome (D)
Our Carbon Neutral flights arrive into Broome where we board a third-party coach, travelling responsibly knowing all coach emissions are 100% offset to begin our six days of exploring Australia’s North West. Tonight, we dine inhouse and gather as a group to enjoy our welcome dinner. 5 Night Stay: Oaks Broome Hotel
Day 2. Horizontal Falls (B,D)
Today’s adventure begins with an awe-inspiring journey to the renowned Horizontal Falls, a natural wonder once eloquently described by David Attenborough. We’ll start by taking a low-level flight over the breathtaking Buccaneer Archipelago, providing us with an aerial view of this stunning landscape. Our ultimate destination is Talbot Bay, and upon arrival, we’ll transition to the Kimberley’s fastest boat, promising an adrenaline-pumping thrill ride while witnessing the awe-inspiring waterfalls. Following the heart-pounding adventure, we’ll switch gears for a leisurely island cruise, providing the perfect opportunity to relax and soak in the natural beauty surrounding us. As the day unfolds, we’ll return to Broome via the seaplane where the remainder of the afternoon is at your own leisure. **Lunch is at your own expense today.
Day 3. Roebuck Bay scenic and prehistoric boat tour (B,D)
Today, we have the privilege of immersing ourselves in the rich tapestry of Roebuck Bay’s beauty, history, culture, wildlife, and breath-taking scenery. Our day unfolds with a remarkable journey back in time as we stand upon a secluded beach adorned with the footprints of dinosaurs that roamed the Earth 120 million years ago. Here, we’ll delve into the fascinating prehistoric past of Broome, gaining insights into the world that existed long before our time. Next, we cruise along the serene creek inlets, sipping on sparkling wine and savouring gourmet platters. This tranquil journey offers opportunities to spot a diverse array of marine animals and exotic birds. This afternoon we explore Broome at leisure. Reef shoes are compulsory today. *Lunch is at your own expense today.
Day 4. Willie Creek Pearl Farm, Cable Beach Camel Ride (B,L,D)
This morning, we explore the charming sights of Old Broome, admiring its distinctive architecture and historic Pearling Master’s homes. We’ll delve into the story of Broome’s One Day War and take a stroll through Chinatown, followed by a delightful lunch in the heart of town. In the late afternoon, we embark on a scenic camel safari ride along the renowned Cable Beach, taking in breathtaking views and experiencing the unique beauty of this iconic coastline. **Strict weight restrictions apply – 95kg individuals and 170kg combined for couples (may ride separately if over 170kg).
Day 5. Beagle Bay – Cygnet Bay (B,MT,L,D)
Today’s adventure takes us on a captivating journey northward along the rugged Cape Leveque Road. Our first stop brings us to Beagle Bay, where we pause for a morning tea break and a visit to the Sacred Heart Church. This historical and culturally significant site provides a glimpse into the spiritual heritage of the region. We make our way to the remote Indigenous community of One Arm Point where we encounter the trochus hatchery. This visit offers a unique opportunity to learn about the profound connection of the Bardi Jawis to their culture and saltwater traditions. Our journey then leads us to the Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, perched on the tip of the Dampier Peninsula. Here, we are treated to a delectable chef-prepared lunch, followed by a tour of Australia’s oldest operational Pearl Farm. As the day progresses, we have the chance to unwind and rejuvenate at the Cygnet Bay infinity pool, providing a perfect setting for relaxation. Alternatively, you can choose to soak in the breathtaking scenery by strolling to the lookout at Diver’s Creek.
Day 6. Depart Broome (B)
After breakfast this morning we make our way to Broome Airport for our respective Carbon Neutral flights home.
