DAY 1. GRAFTON (MT,L,D)
Departing Brisbane Coach Terminal aboard our luxury ‘Gold Class’ coach, we head via the lush Tweed Valley and stop at Tropical Fruit World for morning tea. We then continue to Yamba for lunch before arriving at Grafton and checking in at our accommodation. 3 Night Stay: Grafton Central Motel
DAY 2. GRAFTON (B,D)
Today, we begin with a guided coach tour, where a local expert shares fascinating insights into the area’s history, culture, and landmarks. Following this, we visit the historic Schaeffer House, a beautifully preserved heritage home showcasing a rich collection of artifacts and stories from the past. The rest of the day is dedicated to the vibrant Grafton Jacaranda Festival, a breathtaking celebration of nature’s beauty, where over 5,000 Jacaranda trees burst into magnificent purple bloom. As Australia’s longest-running floral festival, it offers a lively atmosphere filled with street performances, market stalls, live music, and community festivities. As the day draws to a close, we take our places to witness the Grand Float Parade — a spectacular procession of creatively decorated floats, marching bands, and colourful displays, bringing the festival’s spirit to life. **Lunch is at your own expense today.
DAY 3. STANTHORPE (B,L,D)
This morning we head to Glen Innes, stop by the Standing Stones, and take a guided tour of the Land of the Beardies History House. After lunch, we visit the Tenterfield Railway Museum, an almost intact nineteenth century railway precinct. Our afternoon takes us to Stanthorpe, checking in for a 2 night stay. 2 Night Stay: The Vines Motel and Cottages, Stanthorpe
DAY 4. STANTHORPE (B,MT,L,D)
Begin the day at Granite Belt Christmas Farm, where you can feed Santa’s animals and wander through 11,000 thriving Christmas trees. Stop by the Mistletoe Boutique to soak up a wee bit of pre-Christmas spirit before heading to Kent Saddlery for a guided tour. In the afternoon, delight your taste buds with a delicious, freshly prepared lunch and wine tasting at Ballandean Estate Wines, followed by a tasting of their locally crafted wines.
DAY 6. STANTHORPE – BRISBANE
Discover the spirit of Australia’s outback with a fascinating visit to the Australian Rodeo Heritage Centre. Enjoy a guided tour through captivating exhibits and memorabilia as you learn about the legends, stories and rich traditions that have shaped Australia’s rodeo history. We then make our way to Albert Rivers Wines where we enjoy one last lunch together. Late afternoon, we arrive back to the Brisbane Coach Terminal.
