Day 1. Gold Coast, Charleville, Birdsville & Big Red

Checking in at the Seair hangar at 6:15am, you’ll receive an early briefing before departing as the sun rises over the Gold Coast. Fly west to Charleville, home to a Royal Flying Doctor Service base, which you’ll visit after arriving at approximately 10:00am. After refuelling, continue into the Outback and arrive at the Birdsville Hotel around 1:00pm. Enjoy lunch before taking time to explore this iconic Australian town. At 4:30pm, board an air-conditioned 4WD vehicle and travel into the Simpson Desert to Big Red, the first major sand dune of the desert. Enjoy sunset drinks while taking in the spectacular outback scenery before returning to the Birdsville Hotel for dinner and drinks at the heritage-listed front bar. Day 2. Lake Eyre, Winton

Day two kicks off with a hearty breakfast in Birdsville before taking to the skies for breathtaking views of Big Red and the vast Simpson Desert. Flying low, you’ll trace the winding Diamantina River through the Goyder Lagoon and over the tip of Kati-Thanda Lake Eyre North. Soaring high above, take in the sheer scale of the lake’s 9,500 square km during your Lake Eyre scenic flight. Departing after lunch at the Birdsville Hotel, relax in the comfort of your Cessna Caravan for a flight over Western Queensland to Winton before checking into your exclusive accommodation at Rangelands Outback Camp. A gourmet chef will satisfy your appetite with a delicious Outback dinner. Day 3. Winton

Enjoy a gourmet breakfast at Rangelands Outback Camp before setting off to explore Winton’s highlights. Visit the Australian Age of Dinosaurs, home to the world’s largest collection of Australian dinosaur fossils, followed by lunch and a visit to the Waltzing Matilda Centre. You’ll also have free time to explore Winton’s main street. Back at Rangelands, discover the property’s unique rift formations before enjoying sunset drinks and cheese platters as the outback sky transforms into a spectacular display of stars. The day concludes with a gourmet dinner. Overnight accommodation: Luxury Tent at Rangelands Outback Camp, Winton.

Day 4. Carnarvon Ranges, Gold Coast

Enjoy a gourmet breakfast with a view on the deck of Rangelands before heading south-east for Wallaroo in the Carnarvon Ranges. Following your specialist guide into the Carnarvon Gorge National Park you’ll step off the tourist worn trail and explore the regions incredible biodiversity and indigenous rock art. Lunch will be accompanied by the spectacular rock formations and prehistoric landscape of the Carnarvon Ranges. Departing late-afternoon relax in the comfort of your Cessna Caravan before returning to civilization in the early evening and wish your fellow travellers farewell as the tour officially concludes.
