Day 1. Brisbane to Goondiwindi (MT,L,D)

Departing Brisbane Coach Terminal aboard our luxury ‘Gold Class’ coach, we travel via Cunninghams Gap and enjoy morning tea at Bestbrook Mountain Farmstay. We continue onto Goondiwindi for lunch before joining our local guide for a fascinating town and cotton industry tour. Visit Goondiwindi Cotton’s working farm and learn about the history of cotton in Australia and its journey from field to fabric. We also stop to see the famous Gunsynd Memorial before checking in for our 3 night stay. 3 Night Stay: Best Western Ascot Lodge, Goondiwindi

Day 2. St George, Goondiwindi (B,MT,L,D)

Today we enjoy a guided tour of St George with a hop-on local guide, discovering the town’s history and visiting the Harmony Centre for an insight into First Nations culture. We then visit Beardmore Dam for morning tea before continuing to Riversands Vineyards, Queensland’s most western winery, for a wine tasting and delicious 3-course lunch. We then return to our accommodation for leisure time.

Day 3. Goondiwindi Show (B,D)

Celebrate country tradition and community spirit at the 150th Goondiwindi Show, a wonderful showcase of rural life featuring livestock competitions, crafts, local produce and thrilling arena action. Head to the livestock arena to watch experienced judges assess cattle or take a visit to the pavilion to explore the impressive displays of handicrafts, photography, baking, preserves and local produce. Return to the hotel for a farewell dinner. **Lunch is at your own expense today.

Day 4. Kalbar Sunflower Festival, Return to Brisbane (B,L)

After breakfast, we farewell Goondiwindi and travel to Kalbar for a colourful finale at the Kalbar Sunflower Festival. Surrounded by spectacular fields of golden sunflowers, enjoy entry to the festival and time to soak up the country atmosphere and festivities. Settle in for a leisurely 3 course lunch accompanied by special entertainment, making for a memorable final day together. This afternoon, we return to Brisbane Coach Terminal, arriving late afternoon.
