itinerary

Day 1. Brisbane to Stanthorpe (MT,L,D)

We depart from the Brisbane Coach Terminal on our opulent ‘Diamond Class’ or luxury ‘Gold Class’ coach, travelling responsibly knowing all coach emissions are 100% offset. We travel to Summer Land Camels and enjoy morning tea before professional cameleers guide us on a tour of the world’s largest wild camel training farm and dairy operation. From here we travel via Cunninghams Gap, stopping in Stanthorpe for lunch with a wine pairing experience at Jester Hill Wines. 3 Nights: The Vines Motel and Cottages, Stanthorpe

Day 2. Stanthorpe (B,L,D)

We travel along Shearer’s Way to the historic town of Texas, where we explore its rich history with a tour of the Texas Rabbit Works Museum. Afterward, enjoy a hearty lunch at the Stockman Hotel before heading to Ballandean Estate Wines for a tasting of award-winning wines. We finish the day with a stop at Washpool Supply Co., browsing their luxurious selection of handmade soaps.

Day 3. Stanthorpe (B,L,D)

First up today, we tour the handcrafted leather workshop at Kent Saddlery. Next, enjoy a hint of early Christmas spirit with a visit to the Granite Belt Christmas Farm. Step through the doors and experience the magic of Christmas in the Mistletoe Boutique Christmas Store. We take time to enjoy lunch, hand-feed Santa’s animals, including Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and discover the farm’s 11,000 real Christmas trees. This afternoon, visit the Truffe Discovery Centre to meet the dogs and handlers, learn about their extraordinary training, and browse the product shop. Our day concludes with a tasting of local wines and liqueurs at Castle Glen Distillery, Queensland’s only whiskey manufacturer producing all-natural wines and world-class liqueurs.

Day 4. Return to Brisbane (B,MT,L)

We bid farewell to Stanthorpe and travel to Bestbrook Mountain Farmstay for morning tea, enjoying old-fashioned hospitality and magnificent mountain views. We then head via Boonah to Tamborine for a long lunch at Albert River Wines, the perfect grand finalé to our wine country tour. We arrive back to the Brisbane Coach Terminal late afternoon.
