DAY 1. Brisbane to Agnes Water (MT,L,D)
We depart from the Brisbane Coach Terminal on our luxurious ‘Gold Class’ coach, ensuring responsible travel with 100% offset coach emissions. We journey into the scenic Sunshine Coast Hinterland to explore the stunning Maleny Botanic Gardens and Bird World. Upon arrival, we enjoy Devonshire morning tea before setting off to discover the beautifully landscaped gardens. To ensure ease of access, buggy hire has been arranged, as we take in the breathtaking surroundings. Enjoy meeting friendly farm animals before stepping into the interactive aviary at Bird World, home to a vibrant array of feathered friends. DAY 2. 1770, Bargara (B,MT,L,D)
This morning, embark on the Pink Amphibious LARC (Lighter Amphibious Resupply Cargo) vessel navigating along the coastline of Eurimbula National Park and crossing four tidal creeks. Visit Queensland’s only operating lighthouse and enjoy a guided tour through the restored light-keepers’ cottage, now a museum filled with maritime artifacts. Experience the thrill of sandboarding down 35-metre-high dunes on Middle Island. Spot diverse wildlife, including migratory birds, and enjoy the pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters along the route. Our afternoon takes us to the coastal town of Bargara. 2 Night Stay: Turtle Sands, Bargara
DAY 3. Lady Musgrave Island, Bargara (B,MT,L,AT,D)
Departing from Bundaberg, the Lady Musgrave Island day tour is a full-day eco-adventure to the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Travel aboard the luxury Reef Empress catamaran to explore Lady Musgrave Island’s stunning coral cay and lagoon. Enjoy guided island walks, snorkelling, and a glass-bottom boat tour, with access to the eco-friendly pontoon featuring an underwater observatory and sun lounges. Includes gourmet buffet lunch, morning and afternoon tea, and all snorkel gear.
DAY 4. Bargara – Brisbane (B,L)
Visit Monsoon Aquatics, Australia’s largest coral farm, for a guided behind-the scenes tour displaying vibrant marine life and innovative coral cultivation. See over 70,000 corals and enjoy live demonstrations of coral feeding and fragging, while learning how science is helping restore the Great Barrier Reef. Fun Over 50 Holidays proudly donates to reef restoration efforts, supporting coral propagation and planting to help preserve this vital ecosystem. Departing Bargara, we stop at The Hummock to admire the view before stopping for lunch in Childers. We arrive back to the Brisbane Coach Terminal late afternoon.
