DAY 1. Arrive Brisbane (L,D)
Flights ex Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide will be arranged for arrival into Brisbane mid-morning where you will be greeted and escorted to our signature ‘Gold Class’ coach. Guests ex Brisbane will depart Brisbane Coach Terminal. We make our way to the river city, taking time to enjoy a long lunch cruising the Brisbane River onboard the Kookaburra Queen Paddle steamer. After lunch, wecheck into our accommodation where you can appreciate a river view room.This afternoon is at your leisure to either begin discovering the Brisbane CBD or take time to relax and unwind.. 4 Night stay: Stamford Plaza, Brisbane
DAY 2. Brisbane to Mount Tamborine (B,L,D)
Today we make our way to the hinterland paradise of Mount Tamborine. Our first stop is at Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk. This exciting eco-adventure will offer us a unique and thrilling way to explore the beautiful rainforest canopies beside the crystal clear rock pools of Cedar Creek. With a comprehensive array of Australian rainforest flora and fauna, the walk is a combination of floor trails and 300metres of high-tech steel bridges through the highest points of the upper canopy. After our treetop walk, we make our way to we make our way to Cedar Creek Winery where we enjoy a delicious lunch with wine tasting. After lunch, we take a guided walkthrough the glow worm caves. We finish our afternoon with a stop at Witches Chase Cheese Company for some tastings and a chance to purchase some to take away with us.. GGP
Day 3. Brisbane Festival (B,D)
Today we enjoy a free day. Take time to have a rest, check out the activities of the Brisbane Festival, visit the museum or take a spin on the Brisbane Wheel. Tonight to celebrate the end of the Brisbane Festival, Riverfire is set to ignite the skyline with a pyrotechnic extravaganza set to an almighty soundtrack. This is one of the most technically challenging and electrifying fireworks displays in Australia. Fireworks are fired from multiple bridges, barges and city rooftops, and spectators are also treated to aerobatics from the Australian Defence Force. We enjoy a riverside dinner before watching Riverfire from a vantage point within our hotel, providing unparalleled views of the bridges and Brisbane skyline. **Lunch is at own expense today. GGP
Day 4. Brisbane & Gold Coast (B,L,D)
A leisurely start to today, with free time this morning. Take time to do some shopping, rest or maybe explore South Bank. Late morning, we board the coach and head south to the Gold Coast, arriving to enjoy a lunch at the Four Winds 360 Degree Restaurant. Nestled between the beaches of Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, you can take in the picturesque vistas as far as the eye can see. Savour iconic views, from the golden sand and surf of the coastline, the sparkling ocean on the horizon, to the green tranquillity of the Gold Coast Hinterland. After lunch, we take a take a ride on the Gold Coast’s iconic Aqua Duck. This amphibious vehicle takes us on a guided tour of Surfers Paradise streets before entering the water and showing us the sights of the waterways. Next we make our way to Harbour Town for some retail therapy, wandering around the outlet stores. Late afternoon, we make our way to the Australian Outback Spectacular, set in the Gold Coast’s theme park region. Here we take an exclusive behind the scenes look at the show, meeting some of the cast and the beautiful animals who complete the story. We then take our VIP seats in the top rail section which promise the ‘best seats in the house’, as we saddle up for a captivating journey where yarns come alive with inspiring stories of Australian characters and indulge in a sumptuous 3 course meal.
Day 5. Brisbane to Moreton Island (B,L,D)
We leave the river city behind us as we board our ferry at 10am bound for Tangalooma Island Resort. After a warm welcome and orientation, we enjoy lunch before checking in to our resort rooms. This afternoon we journey along the coastline in search of dolphins, dugongs, green sea turtles, rays and more, on a purpose built discovery boat. This vessel provides unobstructed views of Moreton Bay’s intriguing marine life. Full commentary is provided on board, with a live underwater viewing camera. Tonight we experience the highlight of any visit to Tangalooma, the opportunity to hand feed one of the wild bottlenose dolphins that visit the shores each evening on sunset. 2 Night Stay: Tangalooma Island Resort, Moreton Island
Day 6. Friday – Moreton Island (B,L,D)
This morning we awaken to a majestic sunriseover the ocean before enjoying breakfast. Today we explore the southern end of pristine Moreton Island aboard Tangalooma’s Southern Safari Tour. Experience the raw and rugged beauty of the island coastline, including the untouched and expansive eastern beach. Lunch today is at the renowned Gutter Bar in Kooringal. The afternoon is yours to enjoy all the resort facilities, with plenty of entertaining options available.
Day 7. Saturday – Moreton Island to Brisbane (B)
After breakfast this morning, we check out to board the 10:00am ferry back to the mainland. We board the ‘Gold Class’ coach one last time and make our way to the airport for our respective flights home. Brisbane guests will be returned to Brisbane CBD.
