Day 1. Gold Coast – Wallaroo (Carnarvon Ranges) – Winton
Checking into the Seair Hangar at 06:15am, an early briefing and departure sees the sun rising over the Gold Coast. Your 2-hour flight will see you heading north-west for Wallaroo in the Carnarvon Ranges. Following your specialist guide into the Carnarvon Gorge National Park you’ll step off the tourist-worn trail and explore the regions incredible biodiversity and indigenous rock art. Lunch will be accompanied by the spectacular rock formations and prehistoric landscape of the Carnarvon Ranges. Departing mid-afternoon relax in the comfort of your Cessna Caravan for the 2-hour flight over Central West Queensland to Winton. Checking into your exclusive accommodation at Rangelands Outback Camp. A gourmet chef will satisfy your appetite with a delicious Outback dinner. Day 2. Winton
Your day commences with a gourmet breakfast on the deck at Rangelands before heading out for a full day tour. First stop is the Australian Age of Dinosaurs, which is home to the largest collection of Australian Dinosaur fossils in the world! Following a delicious pub lunch, you’ll head back into Winton to explore the Waltzing Matilda Centre and enjoy free time to walk the main street. Returning to Rangelands in the afternoon, live out the true outback life as you watch the spectacular sunset turn into a stargazers dream whilst enjoying sunset drinks and cheese platters on the deck, before a gourmet dinner. Day 3. Winton – Longreach
Enjoy a gourmet breakfast with a view on the deck of Rangelands before a short flight (30 min) to Longreach. After landing, a short walk to the Qantas Founders Museum will see you immerse yourself in the rich history of aviation through interactive displays, engaging exhibits and a guided tour exploring the iconic Qantas aircraft in the airpark. Following a delicious lunch, you’ll head to your accommodation at the Saltbush Retreat where you can enjoy some free time taking in the rustic charm of your accommodation or take a relaxing soak in the outdoor baths. The evening will see you board the Thomson Princess Riverboat for a spectacular sunset cruise, before heading ashore for a stockman’s campfire. dinner under the stars with live entertainment and bush poetry. Day 4. Longreach – Gold Coast
After a leisurely breakfast from your personal breakfast basket, you will head to the Stockman’s Hall of Fame to enjoy a spectacular outback experience. Here you will learn about the enduring journey of the stockman, the challenges and demands, and the evolution of this epic industry, before watching the stockman story come to life at the Stockman’s Life Live show. After lunch, the tour begins its final sector, heading for the coast. Returning to civilization in the early evening, wish your fellow travellers farewell as the tour officially concludes. (B,L)
