Day 1. Sat 16 March – Caloundra (D)
Departing on our ‘Gold Class’ coach ex Brisbane we head north along the Bruce Highway to the township of Eumundi. Enjoy the enchanting experience of the famous Eumundi Markets, renowned for its locally made artesian treasures. You will find hand crafted furniture, homewares, artworks, ceramics, cutting edge fashion and jewellery crafted by local designers. Be entertained by musicians and street performers, indulge in a massage or have your palm read. Something for everybody! After the experience of the markets, we head to Noosa to join the Noosa Ferry Company on an exclusive 45-minute cruise. This cruise includes commentary about the local history, wildlife, what to do and homes along the river. Once we finish the cruise we board the coach and make our way to our accommodation. 2 Night Stay: Oaks Oasis Resort, Caloundra
Day 2. Sun 17 March – Maleny, Montville (B,MT,D)
We board the coach for the short trip to visit the Maleny Botanic Gardens and Bird World. Known as the ‘Jewel’ of Maleny set on over seven hectares, the magnificent gardens are positioned high on the escarpment and form a panorama of waterfalls, lakes, ponds and colourful plantings. Enjoy an interactive bird encounter on a guided tour bringing you up close and personal with colourful birds of the world from Finches to Macaws. Enjoy Devonshire tea overlooking the magnificent gardens. From here we continue to Montville first settled in 1887, now a thriving shopping village with a wonderful array of quality art galleries, stylish cafes, gift shops and beautiful fashion stores, set in the picturesque surroundings of a shady tree-lined street with incredible views all the way down to the coast. We return to Oaks Oasis in readiness for tonight’s event! Dress theme for tonight is anything Irish….shamrocks, green or even come as a Leprechaun, prize for best dressed on the night. Enjoy St Patrick’s Day dinner and show with Paddy and friends, Fun Over Fifty’s exclusive celebrity guest. **Lunch is at own expense in Montville.
Day 3. Mon 18 March – Yandina, Nambour, Brisbane (B,L)
Enjoy a lie-in this morning before departing Caloundra via the sugarcane fields on to Yandina where we stop in at The Ginger Factory. We take a relaxed tour through 9 hectares of lush sub-tropical gardens on the beloved historic train Moreton. Now 116 years old, Moreton was a sugar cane train working at the Moreton Sugar Mill in Nambour, and now spends his days taking people on a tour of the Ginger Factory grounds. After lunch browse the gift shop to purchase your favourite ginger treat before we re-board and make our way back to Brisbane.
