DAY 1 – Arrive Darwin (D)
Arrive in Darwin by flying Carbon Neutral, and embark on our eco-conscious journey aboard our luxury ‘Gold Class’ coach, travelling responsibly knowing all coach emissions are 100% offset. DAY 2 – Litchfield National Park (B,L,D)
Today we discover Litchfield National Park, taking in the inspiring views of Tabletop Range. Marvel at the termite mounds before we make our way to Florence Falls. After lunch at Litchfield Café, we stop at Wangi Falls, where year round currents pour into a large swimming hole. Enjoy are freshing dip before we make our way back to Darwin.
DAY 3 – Kakadu National Park (B,L,D)
Journey into World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park, abundant of flora, fauna, dreamtime connections and stunning vistas. We traverse the Magela floodplains and pass spectacular escarpments to arrive at the Aboriginal rock art site of Burrungkuy. Our indigenous guide takes us through the natural stone galleries giving an insight into the culture associated with these intriguing works of art. 2 Night Stay: Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel, Jabiru
DAY 4 – Kakadu National Park, Scenic Flight (B,L,D)
Take to the skies on a thrilling 30-minute aerial adventure, soaring above breathtaking landscapes including the iconic Archway, the rugged Arnhem Land escarpments, and the sprawling Magela floodplains. Upon touching down in Jabiru, delve deeper into the region’s rich culture and heritage with visits to the Bowali Visitor Centre and the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Your journey continues with a captivating Yellow Water wetlands cruise, led by an expert guide who will unveil the diverse array of birdlife and wildlife inhabiting the area, from majestic crocodiles to graceful buffalo and untamed brumbies.
DAY 5 – Katherine, Katherine Gorge Dinner Cruise (B,L,D)
Today we travel via the outback oasis of Leliyn (Edith Falls) and watch the landscape change before your eyes as we make our way to the farming district of Katherine. This evening discover the stories of the Jawoyn people against the magnificent backdrop of Nitmiluk Gorge on our dinner cruise. 1 Night Stay: Contour Katherine
DAY 6 – Kununurra (B,L,D)
Departing Katherine we venture west along the Victoria Highway, stopping for lunch at Victoria River Crossing, before moving into the East Kimberley breaking at Timber Creek then cross the Western Australia border into Kununurra. 3 Night Stay: Kimberley Grande Resort, Kununurra
DAY 7 – Scenic Flight, Kununurra(B,L,D)
An awe-inspiring day today as we begin with a breathtaking scenic flight over Lake Argyle, the Bungle Bungle Range and the Argyle Diamond Mine. A visit to Artlandish Aboriginal Art Gallery lets us appreciate high quality authentic aboriginal artworks. After which, we take a drive through the rich farming land on the Packsaddle Plains, arriving at Hoochery Distillery for a guided tour with tasting.
DAY 8 – Ord River Cruise, Kununurra (B,L,D)
Today we are on the water, getting up close to nature with a cruise on the Mighty Ord River. Then we travel onwards to Lake Argyle. After lunch, we step back in time with a visit to historical Argyle Homestead Museum.
DAY 9 – Halls Creek (B,L,D)
Depart Kununurra travelling via a stop at Parry’s Lagoon and Five Rivers Lookout. Our afternoon takes us on the Great Northern Highway travelling parallel to the Durack Range as we head to Halls Creek on the northern edge of the Great Sandy and Tanami Deserts, and the site of Western Australia’s first gold discovery. 1 Night Stay: Halls Creek Motel
DAY 10 – Fitzroy Crossing, Mimbi Caves (B,L,D)
This morning we travel through the open grasslands of the cattle stations to Fitzroy Crossing. Our afternoon takes us to Mimbi Caves an amazing Kimberley experience 350 years in the making. DAY 11 – Fitzroy Crossing – Broome (B,L,D)
Heading west we arrive at the township of Derby, the first town settled in the Kimberley, and home of the Prison Tree. Enjoy lunch today at an authentic Roadhouse before we continue on to Broome, affectionally known as the ‘pearl of the north’. 2 Night Stay: Oaks Broome Hotel, Broome
DAY 12 – Willie Creek Pearl Farm, Cable Beach (B,L,D)
This morning we travel out to Willie Creek Pearl Farm where we join a guided tour and learn how the Australian South Sea Cultured Pearl is produced. Late afternoon, we take a camel safari ride along famous Cable Beach. **Please note: Strict weight restrictions apply – 95kg individuals and 170kg combined for couples (may ride separately if over 170kg).
DAY 13 – Flights Home
Enjoy breakfast today before being transferred to the airport and take our respective Carbon Neutral flights home.
