DAY 1: WEDNESDAY – Indian Pacific
Join the mighty Indian Pacific in Sydney. Enjoy Spend your first night on the Indian Pacific enjoying a delicious dinner along with panoramic views of the Blue Mountains as you head west through New South Wales into the outback. (D)
DAY 2: THURSDAY – Broken Hill and Adelaide
Explore the unique outback city of Broken Hill on an off train Explore and Discover Stop before reboarding the mighty Indian Pacific for the rest of your journey to Adelaide. Transfer to the Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide on Hindley. The remainder of your day is free. (BL)
DAY 3: FRIDAY – Adelaide and Mannum
This morning is yours at leisure. Mid afternoon transfer to Mannum, the birth place of the Murray River trade and communicatio, for your cruise aboard the PS Murray Princess. Enjoy pre-dinner drinks and a Welcome Dinner. As you cruise under floodlight to your overnight mooring at Mundarra, you may see nocturnal wildlife on the riverbank. (BD)
DAY 4: SATURDAY – Murray Bridge and Craignook
In 1879 the first bridge to span the Murray River was built at Edwards Crossing, which quickly became the bustling township of Murray Bridge. After a hearty breakfast, join a guided tour of the historic landmarks and attractions of Murray Bridge. This afternoon begin your journey upriver. Tonight moor at Craignook, where after dinner you can be entertained by the talented crew. (BLD)
DAY 5: SUNDAY – River View Lodge
All ashore for a guided nature walk where your guide dwill share the secrets of the local flora and fauna. It’s a great way to get in a little exercise before PS Murray Princess departs for the big river gorges and 90 metre cliffs of the upper river. In the afternoon, head downriver to River View Lodge for a backwater wildlife tour. This evening join the Captain and Officers for the Captain’s Dinner and Dance. (BLD)
DAY 6: MONDAY – Mannum and Adelaide
After breakfast, PS Murray Princess arrives at Mannum where you reluctantly say farewell before transferring back to Adelaide and the Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide on Hindley. (B)
DAY 7: TUESDAY – Adelaide
Today is free to enjoy at leisure. Why not visit the seaside suburb of Glenelg, shop in Rundle Mall or simply relax in the comfort of your hotel. (B)
DAY 8: WEDNESDAY – Adelaide
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out. (B)
