7 Days Whitsunday Islands and Airlie Beach

Day 1.  Fri: Depart Brisbane

Depart at 6.25pm from Roma St, Brisbane for your journey on the Cairns Tilt Train in comfortable Business Class Seats, to the Whitsunday’s.

Day 2. Arrive Airlie, onward to Daydream Island

Arrive to late breakfast at Reef Gateway Resort in Airlie Beach. Transfer onward to your accommodation for the next 2 nights on beautiful Daydream Island Resort. Unpack in your comfortable 4 ½ star room, then make your way to lunch at your own leisure. (B,L,D)

Day 3. Whitehaven Beach

Full hot and cold buffet breakfast. Today your tour host will assist in coordinating island activities which you may wish to participate in, including visiting the Coral Reef Lagoon. Following lunch we will depart for an afternoon cruise to Whitehaven Beach. Known throughout the world for it’s beautiful beaches, then return to Daydream Island for Dinner. (B,L,D)

Day 4. Daydream Island onwards to Airlie

Full hot and cold buffet breakfast, then we will depart Daydream Island to return to the mainland and have lunch. We will then check-in to the Reef Gateway Resort this afternoon. Another great dinner tonight. (B,L,D)

Day 5. Eco River Cruise & Wildlife Safari

Hot and cold breakfast followed by a boat cruise down the Proserpine River with informative and entertaining commentary and crocodile spotting. Also a wetlands wagon train tour to enjoy the panoramic view of a nationally listed wetland habitat and experience unique scenery and wildlife. Freshly made traditional style bushman’s Billy Tea and damper. Barbecue lunch is also supplied. Return to The Reef Gateway Resort to relax before enjoying a tasty dinner. (B,L,D)

Day 6. Airlie Beach & Proserpine Museum Tour

Hot and cold breakfast. Relax before departing on the first half of the Airlie Discovery Coach Tour. Lunch today at the Whitsunday Sailing Club. Continue on the second half of our journey making our way towards the township of Proserpine. We will have afternoon tea and then stroll through the Proserpine Museum which has exhibits form the earlier pioneers of this agricultural, industrial area. The coach will then take you around the town and stop at our venue for an early dinner. Following dinner you will be transferred to the rail station for your journey home. (B,L,AT,D)

Day 7. Arrive Home

Today you will arrive at your home station after a charming rail journey on the Tilt Train with your new found friends. Arrival into Roma St Station is 9.10am.
