7 Days Whitsunday Daydreaming

Day 1.  Fri: Depart Brisbane

Depart at 6.25pm from Roma St, Brisbane for your journey on the Cairns Tilt Train in comfortable Business Class Seats, to the Whitsunday’s.

Day 2. Sat: Arrive Airlie, onward to Daydream Island

The group will visit the popular Airlie Markets, then travel onwards to your accommodation for the next 2 nights on beautiful 4 ½ star Daydream Island Resort. Time for a relaxing lunch then enjoy the many activities the Island offers this afternoon; or just relax before meeting for dinner this evening. Overnight: Daydream Island (L,D)

Day 3. Sun: Daydream Island

Full hot and cold buffet breakfast. Today your tour host will assist in coordinating island activities which you may wish to join in, including visiting the Coral Reef Lagoon, fish and shark feeding. Lunch at your choice of the different restaurant or cafes on the island. Island activities continue into the afternoon, or you can explore on your own. The group will meet again for another lovely dinner. Overnight: Daydream Island (B,L,D)

Day 4. Mon: Hamilton Island onwards to Airlie

After breakfast depart by ferry to famous Hamilton Island. The group will enjoy a bus tour learning about the history and many famous people who have stayed or have holiday homes on the island, before returning to the main street for you to enjoy lunch. You will have free time for a little “retail therapy” or just sit at the yacht club and soak up the view before returning to Airlie Beach in time for dinner. Overnight: Airlie Beach (B,L,D)

Day 5. Tue: Eco River Cruise & Wildlife Safari

Following breakfast, enjoy a boat cruise down the Proserpine River with informative and entertaining commentary and crocodile spotting. Experience a wetlands wagon train tour with panoramic views of a nationally listed wetland habitat and unique scenery and wildlife. Enjoy freshly made traditional style bushman’s Billy Tea and damper and a barbecue lunch. Return to the hotel to relax before dinner. Overnight: Airlie Beach (B,L,D)

Day 6. Wed: Airlie Beach & Proserpine Museum Tour

Breakfast, then relax before departing on the first half of the Airlie Discovery Coach Tour. Lunch today is at the Whitsunday Sailing Club. Continue on the second half of our journey making our way towards the township of Proserpine. We will have afternoon tea and then stroll through the Proserpine Museum which has exhibits from the earlier pioneers of this agricultural, industrial area. You will then explore the town and surrounds by coach before you stop at our venue for an early dinner. Following dinner you will be transferred to the rail station for your journey home. (B,L,AT,D)

Day 7. Thu: Arrive Home

Today you will arrive at your home station after a charming rail journey on the Tilt Train with your new found friends. Arrival into Roma St Station is 9.10am.
