Depart on the Spirit of the Outback For a fun filled adventure on a train with plenty of country hospitality. The train departs Platform 10, Roma Street Station Brisbane at 1.10pm. Guests are required to be at the station at least 45 minutes prior to departure. (meals on train are included for First Class passengers)
The train arrives into Longreach at 1pm. This afternoon you will be collected for a scenic cruise on the Thomson River then enjoy sunset drinks and nibbles at Longreach’s timeless waterhole. While settling around the campfire be charmed by the Heartland Theatre, Larrikins and Legends Show and enjoy the traditional flavours of an outback themed dinner. Enjoy continental buffet breakfast then we will travel back through time to the dramatic and arid
panorama of the Mesa’s and visit the Age Of Dinosaur’s exhibition. Return to Winton and visit the Waltzing Matilda Centre then lunch and explore Winton. Return to Longreach for dinner this

Today after your continental buffet breakfast you will be the guests of Bevan and Maree Pearce and learn about the operation and challenges of operating three properties. Maree will invite you into her home for a home made morning tea. Travel back to town and enjoy lunch followed by an Australian Tent Show learning of local legend and devilish character – Captain Starlight. Another enjoyable dinner this evening. Continental buffet breakfast this morning then a visit to the Stockmans Hall of Fame where you can take a self guided tour of this magnificent exhibit dedicated to early Australian pioneers. Then on to Qantas Founders Museum birthplace of Qantas and a treasure trove of the history of aviation. After a delicious lunch we have a guided tour of the 747 plane then your will have time to explore the buildings and displays. This evening enjoy all the country hospitality of a great outback Aussie BBQ. Overnight: Longreach Motor Inn (B,L,D)
Today you will depart on the Spirit of the Outback for your journey home. Relax and enjoy the rugged mountain ranges, sunburnt plains and historical towns of the outback. (meals on train are included for First Class passengers)
Arrive into Brisbane early this morning with new friends and a few great yarns to tell your family. Train arrives at Roma Street Station at 6.55am
