DAY 1: TUESDAY – Darwin
Make your own way to Darwin and check in to the the Holiday Inn Esplande for your overnight stay.
DAY 2: WEDNESDAY – The Ghan and Katherine
Join The Ghan and travel south to Katherine where you can enjoy an off train Explore and Discover Stop at Katherine Gorge. Re-board The Ghan for your overnight journey to Alice Springs. (BLD)
DAY 3: THURSDAY – Alice Springs
Arrive in Alice Springs this morning and transfer to your overnight accommodation at Lasseters Hotel Casino. The rest of the day is free to enjoy at your leisure. (B)
DAY 4: FRIDAY – Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Travel through the West MacDonnell Ranges. Stop at the Outback Camel Farm, then continue to Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon travel to the Cultural Centre. Visit the Maruku Arts and Craft Cooperative. Join a guided walk to the waterhole of Mutitjulu. Tour the base of Uluru before watching the sun set. Return to Ayers Rock Resort, Outback Pioneer Hotel. DAY 5: SATURDAY – Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Alice Springs
Enjoy a tea or coffee as the sun’s first rays strike Uluru. Join a tour to the magnificent domes of Kata Tjuta (Olgas) and walk into Walpa Gorge. Depart Ayers Rock Resort for your return journey to Alice Springs and your overnight accommodation at Lasseters Hotel Casino.
DAY 6: SUNDAY – Alice Springs
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out. (B)
