DAY 2 – EXPLORE DARWIN, SUNSET DINNER CRUISE

Today we see the new Parliament House built on the site of the Darwin Post Office bombed during the war, the port area plus the many other fascinating sights of Australia’s northern gateway. We then take a drive to East Point where we visit the Military Museum. Then depart for our Sunset Dinner Cruise where the incredible Darwin Harbour sunset will provide a fantastic photo opportunity. DAY 3 – DARWIN TO KATHERINE

Today we visit the award winning Territory Wildlife Park at Berry Springs. There are 432 servicemen and 63 civilians, all of whom died as a result of Japanese bombing. Then we continue south to Katherine. Of course, a visit to Katherine would not be complete without a cruise through Katherine Gorge. Sit back and relax as the tranquil surroundings transport us into a spiritual world of Jawoyn culture and history. Back on dry land, we enjoy dinner on the deck overlooking the river. Overnight Knotts Crossing Resort, Katherine (B,L,D)

DAY 4 – KUNUNURRA, LAKE ARGYLE

From Katherine we travel to Victoria River Crossing and Timber Creek at the northern edge of the Gregory National Park. DAY 5 – BUNGLE BUNGLES, HIDDEN VALLEY

For those of us not wanting to fly, this is the perfect opportunity for a sleep-in! After a slightly later breakfast, we take a tour of Kununurra. Later this afternoon, we visit the Mirima National Park, also called Hidden Valley. The sandstone formations here resemble the domes of the famous Bungle Bungles (Purnululu National Park), which is why they are sometimes called Mini Bungle Bungles. Overnight Kununurra Lakeside Resort (B,D)

DAY 6 – ARGYLE DIAMOND MINE, HALLS CREEK

Today we make our way to the Argyle Diamond Mine The mine is the world’s primary source of the highly prized, rare pink diamonds which have become Argyle’s signature stone.
