Day 1 – sunDay 23rD Dec 2012

Arrive in Launceston, join our Coach Captain and depart for Cataract Gorge to take a ride on the world’s longest single span chairlift. Arrive at Grindelwald Swiss Village to check-in at Tamar Valley Resort for a 3 night stay. (D)

Day 2 – MonDay 24th Dec 2012

We head north to Brady’s Lookout, then on to the Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre. Next to Beauty Point visiting the only Sea Horse Farm in the world or alternatively you can visit Platypus House (the choice is yours). After lunch at Tamar Cove we stop by Moores Hill Winery for wine and cheese tasting. (B,L,D)

Day 3 – tuesDay 25th Dec 2012

Merry Christmas! Today is your day to relax and enjoy the facilities at the resort. Perhaps a game of golf at the 9 hole, par 30 golf course, mini golf, tennis or a swim in the heated swimming pool. Enjoy Christmas Day celebrations with your fellow passengers over a lovely lunch. (B,L,D)

Day 4 – WeDnesDay 26th Dec 2012

This morning we visit Railton, the “Town of Topiary” then Sheffield, the “Town of Murals”. We move on to Cradle Mountain National Park for a guided tour of Gustav Weindorffer’s Chalet, then on to Dove Lake. Enjoy lunch at the Cradle Mountain Chateau and visit the Wilderness and Landscape Gallery. Arrive at Queenstown, and check- in to the West Coast Motel for a two night stay. (B,L,D)

Day 5 – thursDay 27th Dec 2012

Making our way to Strahan we take a cruise in premium seats on the Gordon River. Voyage through Hell’s Gates, stop at infamous Sarah Island and step ashore at Heritage Landing. (B,L,D)

Day 6 – FriDay 28th Dec 2012

This morning we take a short rainforest walk to Nelson Waterfalls. We stop to see the “Wall in the Wilderness”, break for lunch at Bronte Park, and continue on to Hobart. We take a brief city tour before heading to Port Arthur to check- in to the Comfort Inn for a 2 night stay. (B,L,D)

Day 7 – saturDay 29th Dec 2012

Tour Port Arthur Penal Settlement followed by a visit to the natural rock formations of Tasman’s Arch and Devil’s Kitchen. A must do is a visit to Doo Town before returning to our Motel. Tonight you might like to take an optional ghost tour (not included). (B,L,D)

Day 8 – sunDay 30th Dec 2012

Visit Seafarers Memorial on the waterfront at Triabunna, then move on to the quiet rural village of Buckland to view the St John Baptist Church built in 1846. We break for lunch at Swansea, visit East Coast Nature World, and then finish our day at St Helens, checking in to the beautiful Tidal Waters Resort. (B,L,D)

Day 9 – MonDay 31st Dec 2012

Marvel at the Legerwood Carvings a tribute to the soldiers that served World War 1, followed by a tour of the Bridestowe Lavender Farm. We break for lunch at Pipers Brook Vineyard, take in the unique A frame Batman Bridge, then move on to the Country Club Villas in Launceston for an overnight stay. After dinner tonight we join in the New Year celebrations at the Country Club Casino – a courtesy shuttle bus is available for anyone wishing to return to the Villas earlier. (B,L,D)

Day 10 – tuesDay 1st Jan 2013

Happy New Year!! This morning we discover Launceston before heading to the airport for our respective flights home. (B)
