Tue: Homeport to MelbourneDepart your homeport to arrive into Melbourne mid afternoon, then board our coach and take a city tour before we arrive and check-in at the Quality Batman’s Hill on Collins for a 3 night stay. (D) Day 2. Wed: Port Phillip Bay, MelbourneThis morning we visit the Mornington Peninsula overlooking Port Phillip Bay, visit Arthur’s Seat and after lunch through Flinders. Tonight we dine in the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant, cruising the streets of Melbourne and enjoying fine cuisine and the best of Australian wines. Overnight: Batman’s Hill on Collins. (BLD) Day 3. Thu: Melbourne International Flower ShowThis morning we travel to the world heritage listed Royal Exhibition building to visit the prestigious Melbourne International Flower Show, rated among the top five flower and garden shows in the world. Lunch at own expense today. Overnight: Batman’s Hill on Collins (BD) Day 4. Fri: Werribee, GeelongOur day today takes us to Werribee to step back in time and visit the superbly restored 19th century mansion at Werribee Park. We then visit Werribee Zoo for lunch at the Meerkat Bistro where you can closely view the meerkat family and take a Wildlife Safari and Africa Walking Trail allowing us to come face to face with a range of African species. We then continue on to Geelong to checkin to Hotel Chifley on the Esplanade for an overnight stay. (BLD) Day 5. Sat: Great Ocean Road, Apollo BayCity sights of Geelong visiting Beckley Markets and Art Gallery before we leave via the scenic waterfront. We stop for lunch at Barwon Heads before starting our first leg of the Great Ocean Road. Arrive and check-in to Skenes Creek Motel, Apollo Bay for an overnight stay. (BLD) Day 6. Sun: Great Ocean Road, WarrnamboolDepart for Port Campbell N.P. via the Otway Forests then back to the coast and the stunning natural attractions of the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, and the former London Bridge. We continue on to Warr nambool visiting Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village and Museum. Tonight we check in to the Country Comfort, Warrnambool, for an overnight stay.(BLD) Day 7. Mon: Port Fairy, GrampiansDeparting for Tower Hill Nature Reserve we see the crater lake full of abundant birdlife before travelling to Port Fairy to collect a local tour guide to show us this quaint fishing village. We continue on through Hamilton stopping at Dunkeld for lunch. We then head into Grampian country to Halls Gap and check-in to the Pinnacle Holiday Lodge for an overnight stay. (BLD) Day 8. Tue: BallaratThis morning we visit the Chinese Cultural Centre at Ararat before heading to Ballarat and The Avenue of Honour. Ballarat also has a world-wide reputation for beautiful begonias - a must on our list today. After checking into our motel our finale night is dinner and show at “Blood on the Southern Cross”. Arrive and check-in to the Belltower Motel for an overnight stay. (BLD) Day 9. Sovereign Hill, Fly HomeToday we step back in time with a visit to the recreated gold mining town of Sovereign Hill where we can be part of history and experience the life of people in the 1850’s. We then depart for Melbourne airport for our flight home. (B) Prices and Dates
