Day 1. Departure

Depart for your journey on either the Cairns Tilt Train or Sunlander in comfort.

Day 2. Cairns Night Markets

Arrive in Cairns and transfer to Hides Hotel. This evening you will enjoy a light supper on the Colonial Verandah which looks over the Cairns City Mall. After your meal, why not wander down to the night markets located at the Mall which is a short stroll from our hotel. (D)

Day 3. City Sights & Port Douglas Tour

Breakfast today then depart for a Cairns City Sights tour, stopping at Flecker Botanical Gardens, then on to Port Douglas. You will stop at the Combined Club which is located on Dickson inlet, to enjoy a hearty lunch while soaking up the views. The coach then travels along the scenic Northern beaches before arriving back in Cairns. This evening a  beautiful sunset cruise, looking back at the twinkling city lights and making your way down the river while enjoying a complimentary wine, champagne or soft drink. Then a short stroll to the Reef Casino to have a great meal, before wandering back to the Hides Hotel. (BLD)

Day 4. Kuranda Tour by Skyrail / Scenic Rail

Continental breakfast then depart to meet either the Sky Rail or Scenic Rail (your choice) to Kuranda.  Traveling on the rail you will get a chance to stop at scenic spots to take photos and enjoy the scenery. Stroll around Kuranda for a unique shopping experience before meeting at the     Kuranda Hotel for some great Aussie Tucker. The coach will meander down the mountain ranges back to Hides Hotel. You will enjoy a delicious dinner this evening. (BLD)

Day 5. Green Island Tour

Enjoy your Continental breakfast then transfer to meet the Green Island Rocket, Big Cats very modern, comfortable and large catamaran. On Green Island you will get a chance to snorkel, or if you don’t want to get your feet wet you can view the coral in the glass bottom boat. Explore the island before a sumptuous buffet lunch and return in the afternoon in time to relax before dinner tonight. (BLD)

Day 6. Taste of the Tablelands Tour

Continental breakfast then depart by coach to Lake Barrine where you will stop for a traditional Devonshire Tea complete with scones, jam & cream. You will then travel on to Yungaburra to sightsee around this historical village then on to Curtain Fig Tree and Gallo Dairy Land for some lunch. The coach continues to Atherton, followed by Tolga Wood Works and Rocky Creek War Memorial. This is then followed with a visit to Mareeba and Biboohra Golden Drop Winery for an inspection and wine tasting. This will follow with a visit to Jacques Coffee Plantation for a coffee before returning to Hides Hotel for dinner this evening. (BLD)

Day 7. Depart Cairns

After your continental breakfast on the Colonial Verandah this morning, the group will depart to meet your train today. (B)

Day 8. Arrive Home

You will arrive at your home station today after enjoying a scenic rail journey from Northern Queensland with your new found friends.
