Sun: Arrive LongreachCheck in at Longreach Motor Inn then depart for a leisurely sunset river cruise down the Thomson River. Overnight: Longreach Motor Inn (D) Day 3. Mon: School of the Air & Qantas MuseumAfter a continental buffet breakfast visit the School of Distance Education to see how outback children are educated. Visit the Qantas Founders Museum with lunch. Guided tour of the 747 & 707 and explore the museum. 2 course dinner this evening. Overnight: Longreach Motor Inn (BLD) Day 4. Tue: Winton & Waltzing Matilda CentreToday after a continental buffet breakfast we depart for Winton with a scenic drive into the Majestic Mesa's & the Age of Dinosaurs tour. Visit the Waltzing Matilda Centre then lunch and explore Winton. Tonight is a 2 course dinner. Overnight: Longreach Motor Inn (BLD) Day 5. Wed: Strathmore Station & Stockman's Hall of FameAfter a continental buffet breakfast we visit Strathmore Station and learn about the daily operations of running a large Station. Homemade morning tea provided. Visit the Stockman's Hall of Fame and learn about the early pioneers and outback heroes. Lunch, then explore Dr. Yeates Cottage built by RM Williams and friends. Dinner tonight is a traditional Outback Aussie BBQ accompanied by bush poetry. Overnight: Longreach Motor Inn (BLD) Day 6. Thu: Depart Longreach on Spirit of the OutbackEarly this morning depart onboard the Spirit of the Outback. Day 7.
