Departing from Roma St Brisbane, we travel south through the green Tweed Valley, taking in the glorious views and the rolling hills of the Northern Rivers. We then travel south through the Mullumbimby Range past the well known seaside towns of Brunswick Heads and Byron Bay, then through the sugar cane town of Woodburn and on to Yamba  for lunch. Afterwards we travel through the Scottish town of Maclean bound for Grafton  where we will collect a local guide for an informative town tour. Grafton, at this time of year, is a canopy of colour with over 5000 Jacaranda trees in full bloom. Arrive and check-in at Quality Hotel Grafton for a two night stay. At dinner tonight we have ring side seats overlooking the Clarence river to enjoy the fabulous fireworks display. (MTLD)

Day 2. Sat: Grafton

Today is your own to enjoy an array of events that Grafton’s Jacaranda Festival has to offer. Browse through the markets and enjoy the whirl of bagpipes while the Scottish, Irish and Highland dancers perform in the Market Square. Our day ends with the spectacular Grand Float Parade that travels down Prince Street. (BD)

Day 3. Sun: Tenterfield, Stanthorpe

Departing Grafton we travel past the Mann River N.P. to the rural town of Casino. We then climb through the open grasslands toward the New England Plateau where we will break for lunch at the picturesque Tenterfield Golf Club. Our day continues north along the New England Highway through the border town of Wallangarra, before visiting Pure Heaven, a skincare factory specializing in freshly made body butters, potent plant body cremes, delicious soap cake slices and much more!  Arrive and check-in at the 4 star Vines Motel. Dinner tonight is at Thunderbolt Farm offering wonderful views overlooking the vineyard valley and lights of Stanthorpe. (BMTLD)

Day 4. Mon: Stanthorpe

This morning we head straight for Das Helwig Haus to see the Flanders Poppies in full bloom, and the blue Cornflowers in the remembrance field. We continue on to Ballandean Vineyard Estate – Qld’s oldest and largest family owned and operated winery, for a guided tour to see how wine and port is produced and bottled. Lunch today is at The Bramble Patch Berry Farm, renowned for quality strawberries, raspberries and boysenberries. Enjoy lunch surrounded by crops of berries before we indulge in the berry Waffle basket (a sweet treat that will be long remembered). Tonight is our farewell Gala Dinner and we dine out!!!  Dress in red then we go out to one of the highest vineyards in Stanthorpe to enjoy dinner and show. (BMTLD)

Day 5. Tue: Home

This morning we tour Eagles Produce, a state of the art cooling facility and transportation options, as well as the nursery where seedlings are seeded and propagated, and fields of crops have computerised irrigation. We then visit the College of Wine & Tourism for a guided tour and insight to this interesting tourism degree. Enjoy lunch and learn how to match food with wine as we dine on fine food and desserts, before heading home to Roma St Brisbane.
