Upon arrival at 12pm transfer by shuttle bus to Cunnamulla - the heritage town situated on the banks of the Warrego River. Upon arrival at Stephanie Mills Gallery in Cunnamulla, you will be welcomed by the friendly staff and your local guide. Sit back and enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea prior to being escorted to your cabin to unpack and settle in. This afternoon, travel back in time 100 million years at the Cunnamulla Fella Centre. Enter an old mine shaft that takes you back in time, through the earth and back to a unique dinosaurs cave, deep in the middle of ancient sandstone rocks that form part of the Great Artesian Basin. Meet the famous two and a half times life size "Cunnamulla Fella" statute - a tribute to the late Slim Dusty. Dinner this evening will be served under the star filled night sky as your relax and unwind with good company while enjoying a journey through the stars and planets. Overnight: Charleville, Ensuite Cabin - Jack Tonkins Cabins (B/AT/D) Day 3. Thu: CunnamullaThis morning enjoy a hearty bush breakfast and tour Stephanie Mills Gallery. Born and bred in Cunnamulla photographer Stephanie Mills set about capturing the Australian outback in beautiful full colour images. With diverse and breathtaking scenery, Stephanie is committed to capturing Australia's unique stories and sharing them with the world. She has been touted "Australia's photographic storyteller". This afternoon you will walk in the shoes of an Aussie organic farmer who has transformed a historical wool producing property to a state of the art organic cotton and sheep farm. Enjoy a tribute tour of the town and visit the landmarks that have been named after past locals who significantly contributed to the development of our beautiful town. Dead men tell tales - as will be revealed on a tour of the historical Cunnamulla cemetery. Relax on a tranquil boat cruise along the Warrego River alive with wildlife and lined with magnificent Red River Gums and Coolabah trees made famous by the late Banjo Patterson in his property. Complete the day with a sumptuous 3 - course meal with good old fashioned bush entertainment. Overnight: Charleville, Ensuite Cabin - Jack Tonkins Cabins (B/MT/L/AT/D) Day 4. Fri: Cunnamulla – Charleville to Brisbane (The Westlander)Enjoy a hearty breakfast before departing on an experience that will offer an insight into life and work on a rural and remote property. You will enjoy the character of your hosts and appreciate the vastness and their struggle to remain viable in constantly changing conditions. Enjoy your last hours in Cunnamulla at your leisure, you may wish to stroll through the local businesses and purchase a last minute souvenir or gift prior to bidding farewell to your local guide as you transfer back to Charleville.
