Day 1. Thu 23 Dec 2010: Fly to Adelaide, Barossa ValleyDepart your home port and arrive into Adelaide Airport to be met by your coach captain then transferred to the beautiful Barossa Weintal Resort, in the heart of the Barossa Valley. We have time to rest and settle in before we head to the town of Angaston for a special pre Christmas Day Barossa Farmers Market, offering an array of home grown products, smallgoods and preserves. We then return to the resort for dinner. (D) Day 2. Fri 24 Dec 2010: Barossa Valley TouringThis morning we visit the Lyndoch Lavender Farm, a family owned business and multi-award winning Barossa Valley attraction with over 90 different varieties of Lavender. Enjoy morning tea at the Lavender Farm with the opportunity to taste ‘Lavender Scones’. We then continue on and visit ‘The Whispering Wall’, with its unique acoustic effects, before we arrive at Linfield Road Wines for Wine Tastings and lunch. Our afternoon takes us to the ‘Herbig Family Tree’ and then on to Angaston to browse knic knac shops and enjoy a visit to the Blacksmith’s Shop and Museum. We board the coach and travel to Mengler’s Lookout to take in the panoramic views of the Barossa Valley before heading back to the Weintal Resort. (BMTLD) Day 3. Sat 25 Dec 2010: Merry ChristmasMerry Christmas! Today we relax and enjoy the surrounds of the resort. A lazy day offering an inviting Christmas Day Luncheon combining set menu entrees, buffet style mains with Traditional and Seafood fare, followed by a selection of delicious desserts. Enjoy the day with your fellow passengers in a festive and friendly atmosphere. (BLD) Day 4. Sun 26 Dec 2010: Murray River CruiseAfter breakfast, we depart Weintal Resort and make our way to Mannum (the birth place of the paddle steamer). We take a leisurely two hour river cruise on the Mighty Murray River through the beautiful reaches of the Murraylands. Once on dry ground, we make our way to the Pretoria Hotel to enjoy lunch and views overlooking the Murray River. After lunch we travel back towards Adelaide through Murray Bridge and on to Hahndorf and into Adelaide City for our last night at the Old Adelaide Inn. (BMTLD) Day 5. Mon 27 Dec 2010: Adelaide Hills, Fly HomeAfter breakfast we leave the city and travel towards the Adelaide Hills, arriving at Cleland Conservation Park, an open range wild-life park, and taken on a guided tour with the park ranger. You will also have some free time to wander at your leisure before lunch. We then re-board the coach and make our way to Adelaide Airport for our flights home. (BL) Prices and Dates
