Day 1. Thur: Perth, Welcome Dinner

On arrival in Perth, transfer to your hotel.  Tour Perth's shopping and business districts and take in views from Kings Park, perched up on Mt Eliza overlooking the city. This evening, enjoy our Welcome Dinner with the tour group. Stay:  Perth, Novotel Langley Hotel.  D

Day 2. Fri: Nambung National Park, The Pinnacles, Geraldton, Dine Around Dinner

Explore Nambung National Park and the ancient Pinnacles, rising up to six metres above the shifting sands, before travelling to Geraldton. Enjoy our Dine Around Dinner tonight. Stay: Geraldton, Ocean Centre Hotel. BD

Day 3. Sat: Shark Bay, Freedom of Choice Touring, Seafood Feast

Perhaps cruise the deep waters of beautiful World Heritage-listed Shark Bay, searching for the rare dugong. Otherwise, learn about local Aboriginal tribes on a cultural walking experience with a guide (subject to availability). Alternatively tonight enjoy an astronomy lesson on the beach under the stars.  This evening indulge in a seafood dinner in this absolutely beautiful location. Stay: Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort. Walk to the beach where dolphins come to shore. BD

Day 4. Sun: Monkey Mia Dolphin Experience

Walk along the white beach at Monkey Mia and see the local wild dolphins that come to shore (subject to appearance). Visit Shell Beach, one of only two beaches in the world created by billions of tiny shells. View the world’s oldest living organisms, the stromatolites, at Hamelin Pool, with water twice as saline as normal sea water. Stay: Carnarvon, Fascine Lodge. BD

Day 5. Mon: Ningaloo Marine Park

Travel to Coral Bay, gateway to the stunning Ningaloo Reef Marine Park. Cruise the beautiful coloured reefs and view the forests of soft coral and tropical fish that can be seen along this 260 kilometre stretch. Journey to Vlaming Head, with its famous kerosene burning lighthouse, for stunning views of Western Australia’s coastline and the North-West Cape. Stay: Exmouth, Pot Shot Hotel Resort. BD

Day 6. Tue: The Pilbara, Dampier

White gums form a stark contrast against the red earth of the mineral-rich Pilbara region, with its impressive horizons and rocky landscapes. Explore the prosperous mining town of Dampier, originally designed and constructed by the Hamersley Iron Mining Company and visit the Woodside Petroleum North West Shelf Visitors Centre. Stay: Karratha International, in the heart of the Pilbara region. BD

Day 7. Wed: Millstream-Chichester National Park

This is an area of contrast and beauty and the traditional home of the Yinjibarndi Aboriginal people. Stroll among the native palms, ferns and lilies. The area’s flora and fauna, including flying foxes and a variety of unique birds, makes Millstream one of the most pleasant stopovers in the state’s north west. Explore Hamersley Gorge with its strikingly unusual striations. Stay: Tom Price, Windawarri Lodge. Remote location, single travellers may be required to share accommodation. Basic facilities. BLD

Day 8. Thur: Karijini, Guided Mine Tour

Discover the contrasting landscapes of Karijini (Hamersley Range) National Park where ever-changing light, astonishing colours and reflections highlight the complex geological structures. Spectacular gorges, waterfalls and rockpools provide refreshing scenery compared to the red Pilbara terrain. Stop at Dale and Fortescue falls as well as Oxer Lookout for awe-inspiring views. At Newman, tour Mt Whaleback Iron Ore Mine, the largest open-cut mining operation in the world. Stay: Newman, Seasons Hotel. BD

Day 9. Fri: Marble Bar, Port Hedland

Visit Marble Bar, renowned for its extreme temperatures having recorded periods of up to 160 days where the temperature has consistently reached over 40 degrees. This town takes its name from a large bar of striking red jasper which traverses the nearby Coongan River. Continue to the mining town of Port Hedland, situated on Western Australia's coast and renowned for its extensive exporting of iron ore overseas. Stay: Port Hedland, All Seasons Hotel. BD

Day 10. Sat: Sandy Desert, Broome Tour

Travel to Broome, taking in the vast expanse of the Great Sandy Desert. Tour the historic township of this former pearling capital. Spend time at Cable Beach, undoubtedly one of the world’s most stunning beaches - a pure white band bordering a brilliant blue ocean. Day 11. Sun: Broome, Freedom of Choice Touring, Ocean Sunset, Dine Around Dinner

Day 12. Mon: Boab Prison Tree, Windjana Gorge National Park, Fitzroy Crossing

Visit Derby and see the massive Boab Prison Tree. This strange looking hollow ‘Boab’ or ‘Baobab’ functioned as a prison for Aboriginal people towards the end of the 19th century when they resisted European settlement. Aboriginals also used these giant trees for shelter, food and medicine. Discover breathtaking Windjana Gorge and view the ancient marine fossils embedded in the walls that once formed part of an ancient coral reef during the Devonian Age. Travel to Fitzroy Crossing tonight. Stay: Fitzroy Crossing, Fitzroy River Lodge. BD

Day 13. Tue: Geikie Gorge Cruise, Halls Creek

In Geikie Gorge National Park, join the local ranger for a guided cruise of the gorge, with its striking limestone walls created by the gorge’s annual flooding during wet season. This is one of Australia’s most spectacular waterways and home to an abundance of wildlife, including freshwater crocodiles, fruit bats, wallabies, dingoes and many species of birds. Day 14. Wed: Lirrgarn Argyle Diamond Mine, El Questro

Tour one of the world’s largest diamond mines, the Lirrgarn Argyle Diamond Mine, responsible for one-third of the world’s natural supply including the rare pink diamond. Gain an insight on Argyle’s diamonds from the operation of the open pit mine to the sorting, processing and selling of these beautiful, polished diamonds around the world. Travel deep into the heart of the Kimberley to El Questro Wilderness Park, which covers more than 400,000 hectares in the Outback. Day 15. Thur: El Questro, Freedom of Choice Touring, Zebedee Springs, Emma Gorge

Explore El Questro today.  Perhaps enjoy a picnic hamper and relax in this amazing wilderness park, learn about bush tucker and local history or cruise through Chamberlain Gorge - a three kilometre-long fresh waterhole fringed by tropical flora. Journey to Zebedee Springs and take a short walk through the lush vegetation or maybe soak in the hot natural pools.  Later, the energetic may walk to Emma Gorge to view the stunning droplet waterfall. Relax, drink in hand, and watch the sun set over the Cockburn Range. BD

Day 16. Fri: Wyndham, Kununurra

Rise early this morning for a bird watching walk. Travel to Wyndham, Australia’s most northerly port. Enjoy views from Five Rivers Lookout then travel on to Kununurra. Tonight dine at Kelly's Bar and Grill.  Two Night Stay: Kununurra, Country Club Resort. BD

Take a cruise along Ord River to Lake Argyle, considered one of the best cruises in Australia and watch for the region’s wildlife. View Lake Argyle, the largest man-made lake in the Southern Hemisphere. Later, continue to Katherine, in the Northern Territory. Stay: Katherine, Knotts Crossing Resort. BD

Day 19. Mon: Katherine Gorge Guided Breakfast Cruise, Darwin, Farewell Dinner

Visit Nitmiluk National Park and enjoy a breakfast cruise along Katherine Gorge with commentary on Aboriginal art, local plants and wildlife. Later, travel to Adelaide River and visit an Australian war cemetery. Enjoy drinks and a delicious Farewell Dinner tonight in Darwin. Stay: Darwin, Novotel Atrium Hotel. BD

Day 20. Tue: Tour of Darwin

Enjoy a morning tour of the city including a visit to the lush Botanic Gardens. Your tour concludes with a transfer to the airport. B

Terms and Conditions

This general information relates to Australian Pacific Touring Pty. Ltd., herein after referred to as 'The Company'.

Fares, Booking Confirmations
A 25% deposit per person, per tour is required at time of booking. The balance of any airfares booked by APT is required within seven days of booking. Some seasonal special offers may require an additional deposit, which will be advised at the time of reservation. Balance is required six weeks before departure (tours including rail travel 60 days prior). Where connecting air, rail or boat travel is included, confirm correct fare at time of paying balance. If booking is made within 42 days of departure, full payment is required at time of booking.

Stated duration counts day of departure and day of return. Twin share prices are per person unless otherwise stated. The Company reserves the right to cancel any ticket or booking or refuse to carry any passenger where payment has not been received by The Company within the specified time.
Prices include Australian Government Goods and Services Tax (where applicable). El Questro Homestead Upgrade requires 25% deposit (non-refundable) at time of booking.
Discounts: Past passenger discounts may be combined with some other discounts. Please ask at the time of booking. Group concessions for 10 or more adults are available on application. Past passenger discounts are not applicable for groups of 10 adults or more.
Children under 15: When sharing with one adult 20% off adult coach fare plus relevant child rail/air/boat fare. Children under 7 years of age are not recommended to participate in an escorted coach tour. Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.Concession fares: Apply to Australian and New Zealand pensioners and Australian Seniors Card Holders. Refer to fare tables for relevant discounts.
For tours including rail or boat travel, relevant concessions only available where Australian Department of Social Security Concession Card is produced. Further discount may apply to free rail pass holder.

Cancellation Policy
Notice (days) - 42 days or more - % fee of fare - lose booking confirmation

Notice (days) - 16-41days - % fee of fare - lose 20%

Notice (days) - 1-15 days - % fee of fare - lose 50%

If tour has commenced, no refund of fare or unused portion.

Cruising Expeditions Cancellation Policy

Notice (days) - 60 or more - % fee of fare - lose booking confirmation

Notice (days) - 30-59 days - % fee of fare - lose 50%

Notice (days) - 1-29 days - % fee of fare - lose 100%

If cruise has commenced, no refund of fare or unused portion.

Indemnities
The involvement of airlines, rail, boat or any other relevant operator is as air, rail, sea and road carriers only. They shall not be responsible for statements in this publication relating to the transport arrangements.
The Company shall indemnify these operators against any claim action, loss or damage arising therefrom.

Luggage Limit
Each passenger is entitled to take one case, the sum of its length, width and depth not to exceed 160 cm (63 inches), weight limit 20 kilos (44 lbs.) Airlines permit only 1 cabin bag per person, in which personal items such as cameras, make-up etc. should be carried. Over-limit luggage cannot be carried. Baggage is at 'owners risk'.

Purnululu and Mitchell Falls Flights
One soft bag of 10 kilos (22lbs.) per person only permitted.

Important Information Exclusion of Liability
1. Whilst The Company will take all reasonable steps to provide an enjoyable tour, it accepts no liability for any loss of enjoyment experienced by passengers due to circumstances beyond its control.
The Company further accepts no liability for any loss beyond its reasonable control and provides no warranties in addition to those set out under the Trade Practices Act 1974, and nothing herein restricts any passenger from exercising their rights and remedies pursuant to law.
2. Your travel agent will forward booking confirmations and other payments to us on your behalf, but your travel agent is not our agent for the purpose of receipt of monies. Receipt of booking confirmations and subsequent payments by the travel agent does not constitute receipt of those monies by us and the travel agent has no authority expressed or implied to receive monies on our behalf. There is no liability on the part of The Company in respect to any monies paid to the passenger's travel agent unless and until The Company notifies the passenger (by way of a booking confirmation advice or payment receipt advice) that monies have been received by The Company.
3. The optional tour excursions are not operated by or at the direction or on behalf of The Company or its employees or agents or any other persons or companies associated with The Company. By taking bookings for these tours, The Company acts as each optional tour operator's agent.
4. These tours include the services of operators other than The Company e.g. hoteliers, airlines and optional tour excursions, which are not under the direct control of The Company, and whilst The Company takes all reasonable care in selecting these operators, it cannot accept responsibility for those operators' conduct or the conduct of their representative employees or agents or for any ramifications of that conduct.
5. On tours including activities such as trekking, swimming and snorkelling, passengers accept that degrees of risk are involved.
6. No passenger will be permitted to embark or continue on tour while their mental or physical condition is, in the opinion of any representative of The Company, such as to render them incapable of caring for themselves, or whereby they become objectionable to other passengers, or they become a hazard to themselves or other passengers. The Company will not be responsible for expenses resulting in such persons being precluded from completing the tour.

Amendment Fees
A charge of $25 will apply to any addition or modification requested after the original booking has been confirmed.

Itineraries
Itineraries are subject to alteration without notice and intended as a guide only. Alterations may come about due to road, weather or tidal conditions, strikes, public holidays, local festivals or other reasons. Due to the nature of the terrain and remote areas, weather fluctuations can adversely affect road conditions which may necessitate alterations to itinerary with little or no notice. Any additional expense incurred by the passenger is not The Company's responsibility. The Company can give no guarantee as to the exact arrival and departure times for carriers and operators used by The Company in the tour and The Company will not be liable for failure to make connections with any other services or attractions beyond its control. 'Freedom of Choice Touring,' Dine Around Dinners" and 'Freedom of Choice Dining' are booked by the Tour Director whilst on tour. They are subject to availability, seasonal and operational factors. As is normally the case with group tours, a minimum number of bookings is required in order for a tour to be financially viable and to have a pleasant group atmosphere. In the event that adequate numbers cannot be achieved, it may be necessary to cancel a scheduled departure and to offer the nearest possible alternative date (or a full refund of monies paid for APT ground content touring). The date on which the decision is made whether a tour will operate is usually four to eight weeks before the scheduled departure date.
Dine Around Dinners - APT reserves the right to change restaurants should circumstances warrant.

Smoking
Government regulations forbid smoking in tourist coaches, however frequent stops are made for those wishing to smoke. Smoking is not permitted in twin share 'matched' rooms. Requests for smoking/non smoking rooms will be passed on to hotels but cannot be guaranteed.

Seat Allocation on Coach Tours
To ensure all passengers enjoy forward and window facing seats, we have incorporated a daily seat rotation system.

Money Back Guarantee
If a problem occurs during your tour, then in your own best interests, you should advise your Tour Director so that steps can be taken to resolve the matter there and then. If you remain dissatisfied, any complaint must be made in writing to us within 30 days. Any service not supplied will be refunded in full.

Transfer Policy
On the first and final day of your tour we'll provide a free airport transfer. When you book pre-tour accommodation with us in the city the tour departs from, we'll provide a transfer from the airport on the day you arrive, and a hotel transfer on the first day of your tour, at further cost.

Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend passengers to take out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances which may arise (including cancellation fees, medical and curtailment expenses, loss of luggage, early departure from tour due to death or illness etc.). Ask your Travel Agent for details at the time of booking.
