Day 1: Brisbane to Lake Eyre return

6.30am: Check-in at the the Brisbane Jetbase (via Dryandra Road) to board your Skytrans flight for an unforgettable day. Limited parking is available at General Aviation 100m from Brisbane Jetbase. It is recommended you organise a drop off/pick up.

7.30am: Depart Brisbane and fly over the Darling Downs agricultural farmlands and into mulga country as you approach Charleville. Land in Charleville to pickup your guide, Graham from Travel West. Graham has extensive knowledge of south west Queensland having spent many years operating small group tours to Birdsville, Innamincka and around the Corner Country. One of his great passions is the western river systems. Departing Charleville travel west over the Warrego, Paroo & Bulloo Rivers, Cooper Creek and the Diamantina River before landing in Birdsville for a short refueling stop. Along the way, Graham will provide comprehensive commentary about the western river systems that make up the Lake Eyre Basin and some other interesting history. Departing Birdsville, we turn south flying over Goyder Lagoon, see the Simpson Desert and Lake Eyre. Graham will be telling you some interesting facts as we look at this truly amazing expansive area. Returning to Birdsville you will have an opportunity to visit the historic Birdsville Hotel and have a brief look around town. Departing Birdsville, we will begin our return to Brisbane via Charleville.

7.30pm: Arrive back at the Brisbane Jetbase, Brisbane.
